Signs your car needs a mechanic
- Check engine light on
- The engine computer has stored a fault code. A flashing light usually means an active misfire and should be checked before you keep driving.
- Squealing or grinding when you brake
- Brake pads are worn, or worn far enough to start damaging the rotors.
- Car pulls to one side
- A tire that's worn or low, a dragging brake, or worn steering parts. If it points to alignment, we'll tell you (we don't do alignments ourselves).
- Warm air from the vents
- The A/C system is low on refrigerant from a leak, or a part such as the compressor isn't engaging.

- A cooling system problem: low coolant, a leak, a stuck thermostat, a radiator issue, or a fan that isn't running.

Nothing is repaired without your OK. California's Bureau of Automotive Repair requires a written estimate and your authorization before work begins, and that is how we work on every job.

We do the approved work and nothing else. If we find something new along the way, we stop and call you before going further.
Road test
Before we hand the keys back, we drive the car to confirm the fix and walk you through what was done.

Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. If you'd like a reserved time, book online and we'll have your car on the schedule.
Will you do any work without asking me first?
No. Every repair starts with a written estimate, and no work happens until you say yes. If we find something else during the repair, we call you before doing it.
Can you do a repair and a smog check in the same visit?
Yes. We're a STAR-certified smog station as well as a repair shop, so both can be handled while your car is here.
